Tregonhawke

The largest stretch of sand in Whitsand Bay on the Rame Peninsula, backed by high cliffs, with strong currents that make it unsuitable for casual swimming.

Strong rip currents and a steep cliff descent make this better suited to confident swimmers and older children.

Fishing

Mostly clean sand with occasional broken ground supports bass, small-eyed ray, plaice, dogfish and winter whiting. Summer baitfish can draw mackerel and garfish close to shore. Flooding tides into dusk are the core window.
