Perranporth Penhale Sands

The quieter, dune-backed northern extension of Perranporth beach within Penhale Sands dune system, Excellent-rated for water quality with its own seasonal RNLI lifeguard cover.

Quieter than the main Perranporth beach, backed by extensive dunes, with RNLI lifeguard cover in peak season but fewer facilities directly on hand.

Fishing

Penhale is classic exposed surf fishing for bass, small-eyed ray, turbot, dogfish and winter whiting. The quiet central sand is productive after dark, but long access, powerful rips and MOD restrictions make it less beginner-friendly than Perranporth town beach.
