Hazards: No lifeguard cover; take care swimming, especially near the river mouth outflow at the eastern end.

Dogs

Par Sands does not appear on Cornwall Council's official seasonal dog-restriction (PSPO) beach list. The beach's own management site (Par Sands Coastal Holiday Park, which runs the main car park) states dogs are welcome all year round, with owners expected to clean up and dog wardens patrolling. Treated as 'other' confidence since the source is the beach/park operator rather than the council.
