A kilometre-wide sandy beach backed by dunes near St Austell Bay, unlisted on Cornwall Council's seasonal dog-ban roster and popular with the adjoining holiday park.

Par is a shallow clean-sand mark. Bass and flounder use the surf and freshwater influence, while dogfish, rays and occasional flatfish become more likely after dark and at range. Fish moving water around the flood and keep clear of watersports users.
