Fishing

The Mablethorpe area is an established shallow sandy beach fishery. Winter targets include codling and whiting; summer and autumn can produce bass, flounder, dab, plaice and sole, with occasional dogfish, smoothhound, turbot and thornback ray. Rougher conditions can move fish closer, while calm shallow water may reward distance casting. Avoid the central bathing zone in peak hours.
