Holywell Bay

A large dune-backed north-coast bay near Newquay, popular with families staying at the adjoining holiday park, with rock pools and caves at the northern end at low tide.

Fishing

Holywell is an exposed surf-and-rock mark. Bass feed in flood-tide gutters and around the stream mouth, dogfish and small-eyed ray use the clean sand after dark, and settled conditions allow pollack and wrasse fishing from the rocky ends.
