Long flat sand backed by extensive dunes and a country park with paths — great for a family walk, though the beach itself is fully exposed and can be windy.

Open sand and surf support flounder, dab, bass, codling, whiting and occasional rays. Coloured water and autumn or winter conditions favour codling and whiting.
