No seasonal restriction found — multiple tourism/dog-walking sources describe Black Sands as dog-friendly all year, unlike Silver Sands a few hundred metres away which has a summer dog-restricted zone. No official Fife Council byelaw page was found confirming this in writing.

Smaller and rockier than Silver Sands with darker volcanic sand, but quiet and sheltered — fine for families, just less sandy underfoot.
